FAQs
Should I complete the survey if I don’t see any advertising?
Yes, please complete the survey whether or not you see any advertising. This will help us get an idea of how many areas were visited during the event.
How far should I go and how long for?
You can travel as far and for as long as you want to. Try to be as clear about the area or route you cover as possible when you report it in the survey. If you travel through several areas, please complete a survey for each area.
How many surveys can I complete?
You can do the exercise as many times as you want in as many areas as you want to. Please complete a separate survey for each different area you visit or route you take.
How do I know whether the advertising is a violation?
You don’t need to assess whether any advertisement you see is violating UK legislation or the WHO Code, you can just report what you have seen. We will use the information that you provide to assess the scope and extent of violations.
Do I have to complete the survey while I am out?
No, you can complete the survey at any time before 20th October 2020. Please ensure that you have collected all the information necessary in order to complete the survey.
Do I need to upload a photo?
No, however you can if you want to. If you decide to take a photo you can upload it at the bottom of the survey. You can upload a maximum of 4 photos.
I’m not able to help on 16th or 17th Oct but would like to be involved. What can I do?
You can still report anything you have seen at a different time or any other form of infant milk marketing and promotion by using our survey to report additional information.
